Daily Values

Recommended Daily Allowances (RDAs) is a nutritional guideline we follow to achieve good nutrition. These guidelines should be used as a reference only since in many cases they represent a fraction of the actual vitamins and minerals we require. Percentage of Daily Values (%DV) is a term appearing on food labels that identifies the contribution of a nutrient relative to the diet, usually 2000 calories, as a whole. %DV does not represent the percentage of calories resulting from that nutrient.
